Anne Dunsmore

Anne’s career and experience have allowed her to bring new technology to the development and implementation of fundraising strategies. Always on the cutting edge of blending these technologies with business, Anne has developed one of the most advanced and comprehensive fundraising operations in the country – raising over $2 billion for more than 500 non-profit and political clients over the last 27 years. 

Born in New York, Anne graduated from Kent School in Connecticut and received her BA in International Relations as well as in Asian Studies after only three years at Wheaton College in Massachusetts.  She began her career in 1979 when she became a fulltime volunteer for George H.W. Bush’s campaign for President, working as an assistant to the Press Secretary.  She continued by working with a campaign management firm in California and has since served as Finance Director for many campaigns, including the re-election of CA Governor Pete Wilson, Pete Wilson for President as well as a number of US Senate races and down ticket races in California.  Additionally, she has served as the CA Finance Director for the Republican National Committee, both of George W. Bush’s presidential campaigns, the National Republican Senatorial Committee, Progress for America and the Republican Governor’s Association.  Her non-profit work includes the conceptualization of and the fundraising for the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles as part of her past duties as Executive Director of the UCLA Medical Sciences Development and their $1.2 billion capital campaign.

She has two daughters, Alissa and Mary Paige.  Anne currently lives with her husband, Michael, in Tarzana, California.

Phil Hyde

Chief Financial Officer

Phil Hyde graduated with Honors from Kent School in 1976 and
Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science in 1980. He joins Capital Campaigns after financial management careers with Marriott, Auto Nation and Nissan. He is married with three teenage children and enjoys coaching his three teenagers in their competitive soccer and golf activities.

Glynn Valentine

 

Regional Director, New York

E. Glynn Valentine, a New Jersey native, graduated in 1988 from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Upon graduation, Glynn worked in the Public Relations division of Tiffany & Co. where she managed many of the prestigious social and press events at the company’s landmark store in New York. After three years at Tiffany & Co., Glynn worked on Christine Todd Whitman’s 1993 New Jersey gubernatorial campaign against incumbent Governor Jim Florio. With Governor-elect Whitman’s victory, Glynn was asked to join the Senior Staff as Governor Whitman’s scheduler. In this role, Glynn accompanied Governor Whitman to the 1996 GOP convention in San Diego where she co-hosted the convention with then-Governor George Bush. In 1997, Glynn was asked to join Governor Whitman’s successful re-election campaign. After four years in state government and having worked on two competitive gubernatorial campaigns, Glynn returned to New York City to join the private sector as a portfolio manager at W. P. Stewart & Co. where she developed and maintained client relations with high net worth individuals. During the 2004 elections, Glynn successfully raised money for the Bush-Cheney ticket and volunteered on First Lady Laura Bush’s advance team. Glynn resigned from W.P. Stewart and returned to politics as the Finance Director for Kathleen Troia “KT” McFarland’s Republican Primary Senate Campaign.

Alice Cherry

Regional Director, Orange County

Alice Krista Cherry joined Capital Campaigns in 2005. Since then, Alice has worked on numerous political efforts including Mitt Romney’s Commonwealth PAC, U.S. Senator Norm Coleman’s re-election campaign, Congressman Ken Calvert's re-election campaign, Orange County Sheriff Mike Carona’s re-election campaign, Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas’ re-election campaign and the California Republican Party's Victory '06 effort. Alice also assisted the fundraising efforts of several statewide campaigns including Steve Poizner for Insurance Commissioner and Tony Strickland for Controller. She has worked on a variety of non-profit events including the 2006 UCLA Millennium Ball, which raised over five million dollars for the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. Alice was the finance lead on the 11th Biennial International Gynecologic Cancer Society Fundraiser with Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood as well as the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation’s Freedom Award Gala, which honored President George H. W. Bush. Alice is currently working with the Los Angeles Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and with the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Prior to joining Capital Campaigns she interned in former Congressman Christopher Cox's Washington, D.C. office and at the California Republican Party. Alice graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.
